precision blending, bold results
Le Bon's journey begins in the sun-drenched orange orchards of southern Louisiana, where our family has been cultivating fruit since the early 1900s. The name “Le Bon,” inspired by our French roots, embodies the essence of our heritage and the harmonious blend of sweet corn whiskey with the vibrant zest of satsuma oranges.
Once harvested, the satsuma oranges are carefully placed into barrels of three-year-old sweet corn whiskey, which has been artfully matured with a secret blend of 13 spices and herbs. This intricate combination creates a symphony of flavors, balancing the rich caramel notes of sugarcane with a beautifully aromatic bouquet.
After the initial blending, Le Bon undergoes an additional six months of maturation, allowing the flavors to marry and reach their full complexity. This final blend, affectionately known as “The Good,” has long been a staple in cutting bayou moonshine—a tradition that has endured for over two centuries and remains steadfast to this day.
